This is a transfer station - NOT a landfill (Nothing is buried here Everything brought in has to fit in the trailers and has to fit the parameters of what the actual landfill will accept)
Open Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to noon and free for Wilkes County residents
Contractors are charged for construction debris Residents are not charged for shingles if doing work on their own property
We cannot take ANY type of vegetative debris like trees, limbs and stumps
Please separate any metal from the rest of general garbage
Transfer Station will be CLOSED from 7:30am to 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 20th for electrical work by the City of Washington Electric Department We apologize for any inconvenience
